Hyvion is pleased to announce the addition of six senior executives to the company’s advisory board. Stephen Wakeling, Rick Sykes, Bruce Marble, Ross Noel, Barry Umansky, and Teresa Smith bring a diverse set of expertise spanning business, broadcast, and tech industries to a fast paced and growing Hyvion team.
Board members joining the team have been recognized from entrepreneur of the year, to broadcast hall-of-farmers. “These seasoned experts believe in us and what we’re doing.” Founder and CEO Zach Huffman said, “So much in fact that they’re here to help us continue to grow and be with us every step of the way.”

Stephen Wakeling joins as a veteran entrepreneur, founder, and CEO of Phobio, LLC. -- a software development company that redefines the trade-in process for wireless carriers and retailers, and generates more than $250 million in annual revenue.
Rick Sykes and Barry Umansky come to Hyvion’s board with more than 80 combined years of
broadcast excellence. Umansky has served in multiple capacities as an attorney representing broadcasters and electronic media throughout the United States, including the National Association of Broadcasters and Federal Communication Commission. While Sykes joins Hyvion after his recent induction into the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and a lifelong career as a news producer, communications executive, and professor.
Bruce Marble and Ross Noel come to Hyvion as start-up experts with backgrounds in angel-investing and growth planning. Both Marble and Ross started their careers at Dow Chemical becoming the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and a lead product engineer.
Lastly, Teresa Smith joins Hyvion as a financial expert with a 30+ year track record of success serving as the President of The Corporate Accountant and serving as the Chief Operating Officer for a national distribution company.
